One Tin To Rule Them All

Literally, if you only have one brush and a bunch of eyehadow colors, you won't need to go buying 10 more brushes- you just need this magical tin

Vera Mona's "Color Switch Solo" Instant Brush Cleaner (get it here)

I picked up this nifty gadget at the Makeup Show LA last week. It's a porous, kinda-squishy, semi-firm sponge inside of a pretty purple tin that's suppose to be magical. (watch the video at the bottom!)

IT CLEANS OFF PIGMENT ON YOUR BRUSHES WITHOUT LIQUIDS OR CLEANERS.

In theory, if you are using a lot of different color eyeshadows with one brush, the darker colors will transfer into the lighter colors when applied. Swirling your brush into a towel is a great option to "clean it" but it won't get all of the colors out. This nifty little thing "cleans" off the color from your eyeshadow brush without leaving any pigment on the bristles. So you can go from dark blue to light pink on your eyes without worrying it'll mix into a purple.

It's about 2 inches high and extremely light

DIRECTIONS: Just take your used eyeshadow brush and swirl it in circular motions into the sponge a couple rounds and voila!  The brush is ready for the next color.

The Color Switch is reusable. Once too many colors get packed into the sponge, just wash it with soap and water. Lay flat to dry.

Nothing!

Nothing!

Seriously, NOTHING left!

Remember that this is not an alternative to cleaning your brushes with soap and water. This is just a tool to help clear color off your brushes during makeup application. Please wash your makeup brushes at least every week to two weeks.

VERDICT: 5/5

I LOVE IT- IT'S LIKE MAGIC!

I like that I don't have to use a brand new brush for every single new color of eyeshadow. I'm really impressed the brush is completely pigment-free after a couple of swirls. This is a great little gadget for those who wear a lot of eyeshadow or those who only have 1-3 brushes in their kit.
