Wedding Day Coordination FAQs

What is a day-of coordinator/wedding day coordinator?

A Day-Of coordinator is exactly what it sounds like! We coordinate and organize everything on the day of your event. We are responsible for keeping your timeline flowing without any interruptions, greeting/ managing vendors, and handling any emergencies that may arise.

We know that weddings are stressful, so we are here to alleviate all of your worries to enjoy your big day.

What is the difference between a day of coordinator and a wedding planner?

A wedding day coordinator helps direct and orchestrate all events that unfold on your wedding day. We help keep you on schedule with your timeline; become the point of contact for all your vendors; cue your wedding party for their grand entrance, toasts, etc; help organize and decorate your venue space; and take care of all the things in-between. We will meet you in person a couple of times to help organize your plans, but you, as the bride, are responsible for all of the main details leading up to the big day. Our job takes place mainly on the day of your event. We are here to make your event go as smoothly as possible.

A wedding planner helps you from the very start to the very end (about 9+ months). They take on the responsibility to book, schedule, and meet with vendors; create and design a theme and feel for your wedding; attend dress fittings; help design and mail out save-the-date/invitation, and so much more. A wedding planner becomes your second hand and will hold your hand throughout the entire planning process.

Yes! Our back to basics includes your coordinator to be present during your wedding rehearsal to help you, your wedding party, your parents, and your officiant practice the entire ceremony for the big day. Usually the wedding rehearsal will take place 1-2 weeks prior to the wedding day.

Will you be there for my wedding rehearsal?

Yes, it does! An additional coordinator will be needed for weddings larger than 175 people as well as barn/vineyard weddings. The more people, or the bigger the space, the more hands-on-deck we’ll need.

Does it matter the number of wedding guests attending?

Of course! We would love to give you our list of preferred vendors! If they aren’t available for your event date, we will try our best to recommend another available vendor.

Can you recommend any vendors for my wedding day?

Yes. All weddings that take place on the weekend of Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Years Eve, or New Years Day will incur an extra 20% fee.

Is there an extra charge for weddings on a holiday weekend?

Your wedding coordinator is scheduled for 12 hours. If you need our team to stay longer than 12 hours, an hourly rate will be added on.

How long will your team be coordinating on my wedding day?

We definitely can! However, making name cards aren’t included in our basic coordinating package. If you would like to add it to, please see our “Extra Favors” section.

Can you make name cards for me or help me with my wedding invitations?

Be sure to check our “Extra Favors” section to see if what you need is listed there. If it isn’t, we can certainly try to accommodate you the best we can- just ask!

What if I need more services than what is listed in your package?
